About Me

I am stoked you’ve stumbled upon my work, and I believe it happened for a reason! I’m Kuba, and I’m a Polish wedding photographer based out of beautiful Costa Rica. I specialize in destination weddings, and over the last decade, I have captured numerous tales of love in different parts of the world, from Europe to the Americas.

Photography has allowed me to witness many unforgettable moments and be part of them which I’m grateful for. According to the couples I have photographed, I have a warm, kind, and easygoing personality. I am a strong believer in the human perspective, and when not photographing weddings, I often travel and capture stories for NGOs’.

Coming from a background of painting with a master’s degree in fine arts has given me a unique style and perspective.

My approach:

I capture things in a candid and artistic way. I am known to photograph in an unobtrusive manner. I try not to influence situations too much by only giving direction as needed, but I prefer to mostly let the day happen as it should. Ultimately, my goal is to craft fine art images that will be cherished for a lifetime.

FAQS

• Where do you work?

I'm based out of Costa Rica and work primarily in the Americas, which includes Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Mexico, and the US. These are amazing locations that I get to photograph. Please reach out to check if I'm available on your desired date.

• Do you offer wedding packages?

Of course, I offer wedding packages! My most popular packages consist of shooting between three to eight hours for the special event. I also provide options for elopements and engagements. For complete pricing information, please fill out the form on my Contact page, or you can contact me directly at kubaokonweddings@gmail.com

• How do we book the date?

- First, you can contact me to let me know that you’re interested in working with me. I'd love to hear your story and connect with you. If I am available on the requested date, I will send you everything that you need to know, including information about pricing and wedding packages.

- The next step is to simply confirm that you would like to book a date. Please specify exactly which services you would like to purchase.

- I will email you the contract. All you need to do is simply sign and return the contract, pay the retainer (the amount dependent upon which package you select), and that’s it! Once I’ve received everything, your date will be confirmed! The retainer can be sent via PayPal, cash, bank deposit, or money transfer.

• Do you do both weddings and elopements?

Yes, I cover large traditional weddings as well as small intimate elopements. Elopements can strip away the stress of planning a large wedding while allowing you to concentrate on what matters most: the celebration of your love. Also, an elopement should have a count of no more than 10 guests.

• Can I print the images?

Yes, I will give you the personal printing rights for the photographs.

• Do you edit all of the images?

Yes, I do all of the editings myself! After going through all of the images with great attention to detail, I choose the best ones for you. Then, I edit each photo individually, mostly for color, quality, and exposure.

• Do you work with a second photographer?

I shoot weddings by myself, and I work with a second shooter depending on the selected wedding package. I also work with an assistant. I usually recommend using a second photographer for weddings with more than 100 guests.

• Can we meet up?

Of course, we can meet. I think it is very important to get to know each other. It helps create rapport and trust before the special day arrives. We can always arrange a Skype/Facetime call if you are busy or live far away.

• How did you became photographer?

Well, I have been interested in art ever since I can remember. I have always had a passion for sketching and painting. I also graduated with a Master of Fine Arts degree. My love for photography came naturally.

• How many images do you deliver?

For weddings, I generally deliver around 75-100 images per hour.

• When would we receive our photos?

Post-production typically takes between four to six weeks.

• What is the best way to describe your style?

I am very unobtrusive when photographing weddings and like to observe the event from a certain distance. I try not to influence situations too much, if possible. I will give some direction if needed, but I mostly let the day happen as it should. At the same time, I am very close to the action. The result is a style that documents the event in a candid, unique, and artistic way.
